Role: Chief of Staff to CEO

We’re hiring a Chief of Staff to amplify the impact of our CEO and executive team. This role is a force multiplier to the CEO and a unifying operator across the senior leadership team. The Chief of Staff exists to increase speed, clarity, and execution quality across Raycon by owning people processes, operating rhythms, and strategic follow-through, often independently and without being asked. You will be evaluated not on activity, but on leverage and outcomes.

Growth: Profitable growth with 4+ million customers and international expansion

Location: Midtown Manhattan, NYC.
Mon - Fri, 9 AM - 6 PM EST.
Hybrid: 1 day remote (Monday) and 4 days in office (Tuesday - Friday)


Compensation: Competitive base + performance bonus

Team: Partnering directly with CEO Ray Lee in a deeply cross-functional role spanning Strategy, Operations, Product, Marketing, CX, and Finance

Key Responsibilities
• Act as a true extension of the CEO by prioritizing, structuring, and executing strategic initiatives while maximizing the CEO’s time, focus, and energy
• Anticipate needs, surface risks, and drive follow-through
• Actively optimize people, processes, and systems across the business, particularly in HR, recruiting, and cross-department collaboration
• Design, implement, and continuously improve people and operating processes, with a strong emphasis on HR, recruiting, and leadership workflows
• Drive adoption of tools, AI automations, and systems (e.g., workflow automation, documentation, internal tooling) that materially improve efficiency and clarity
• Facilitate weekly executive meetings, quarterly planning, and ongoing accountability against priorities
• Own internal communications, board prep, investor updates, and high-stakes executive materials
• Identify organizational blockers and inefficiencies and act on them with urgency and sound judgment
• Deliver direct, thoughtful feedback and apply feedback immediately when received
• Lead recruiting directly for priority roles and support broader org design and scaling efforts

• The CEO’s time and energy is protected and leveraged toward the highest-impact work
• Company-wide operating cadence is clear, aligned, and effective
• Recruiting and operational systems measurably improved within first 90 days by reducing time to fill roles and increasing applicants’ satisfaction score with Raycon’s interview process
• Clear focus on the highest-leverage workstreams and metrics to move the needle
• Proven ability to take on increasing bandwidth and responsibility without sacrificing quality

A Day in the Life:
Sample projects may include:
• Analyze CX team tools and staffing structure, provide recommendations to optimize productivity by rolling out AI automation
• Better automate recruiting from screening to final interview with streamlined processes and AI tools
• Create go-to-market plan for a new custom product line
• Audit inventory and supply chain workflows to reduce overstock and prevent outages
• Design and facilitate senior leadership meetings across departments to drive clarity, decisions, and accountability

What to Expect:
• You will mirror the CEO’s operating rhythm: this is a high-intensity role with flexibility but real expectations around responsiveness and ownership. At minimum, expect 9 am - 6 pm EST and open to hopping on weekends as needed
• Onsite presence 4 days per week in our NYC office

• Prioritize workstreams and metrics that drive results, not noise
• Lead initiatives across HR, recruiting, interdepartmental collaboration, and workflow automation
• Provide and receive unfiltered, thoughtful feedback

Interview Process:
1. Initial Call: Intro with a team member focused on culture fit and your experience (30 minutes)
2. CEO Interview: A conversation with our CEO to dive deeper into your prior experience (30 minutes)
3. Case Study: A practical exercise tailored to the role, designed to highlight how you think and create
4. Final On-site Round: Visit us in the office, meet the team, and learn more about our cross-functional team leaders

Raycon is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. Salary ranges are determined through alignment with market data. Base salary offered is determined by a number of factors including the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and skills. This role is also eligible for bonus compensation and employee benefits.

NYC Base Salary Range: $100,000 - $165,000 USD
